Subject: Uncle Eddie passes away

Mom's younger brother, Eddie, passed away July 27 at his home in Mississippi.  He had been diagnosed earlier this year with multiple cancers and had hospice care in his home until he died.  He was 79.

Steve wrote the obit for the Rhinelander newspaper.  I attached a copy for you to enjoy as it captures Uncle Eddie's free spirit.

Please keep Mom in your thoughts and prayers.

Edward E. Buchholz

On July 27, 2011, Edward (Eddie) Buchholz, 79, passed away at his home in New Hebron, Miss.

Formerly from the town of Enterprise, Pelican Lake, he was born on April 5, 1932, to Helen and Edward Buchholz, Sr. in Merrill.

He married Martha Conely, of Crandon, on Sept. 18, 1954 and they became the proud parents of two daughters, Jeanne and Debbie.

He worked for St. Regis Paper Company in Rhinelander for many years and transferred to the New Hebron plant and continued his work as a millwright.

Eddie was well known for his outstanding story telling, singing around the campfire and occasional pranks on those that needed them.

He was well aware of the perils of dehydration and made sure that he and others never suffered its effects. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, family and friends.

He is survived by his sister, Mae Marquardt, of Rhinelander: his daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, his family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association or Cancer Research fund.
